Director of Marketing
We are seeking a Director of Marketing who will use their skill set to successfully partner with the sales department to generate aligned strategies while managing the marketing team and achieving defined goals.

Location
PayJunction takes a Flex First approach to work environments. This means that our team members can choose to work from our Santa Barbara office or remotely from home. We ensure that everyone has the resources and equipment to work where they feel most productive. We trust our teams to make the best decision for their work environment. All PayJunction employees must reside in one of the following states: CA, IL, TX, MN, CO, GA.
Mission
Our Marketing team’s mission is:
- We exist to drive the success of PayJunction by defining our brand, positioning in marketing, and continuously increasing demand for our products.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for annual marketing plan, strategy and team
- Identify and plan differentiated and impactful marketing strategies/materials
- Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team
- Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive leads
- Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
- Partner with the sales department to generate aligned sales and marketing strategies
- Manage marketing budget and expenditures
- Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels
- Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning and devise counter-strategies
- Build long term relationships with employees, clients and stakeholders
- Own and report weekly demand KPIs progress to budget, driving pivots and updating forecast as appropriate
- Participate to support Company wide & Sales events (i.e. Annual Sales Kickoff)
- Curate & maintain current strong customer referral database
- Laser focus on data accuracy & HubSpot/SalesForce hygiene enabling data based decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration or similar. Master’s degree in marketing or business administration is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of applicable experience.
- Expertise and in marketing leadership within the B2B model.
- Experience marketing to developer personas.
- Previous experience leading a team and fostering their growth and success.
- Extensive experience with Salesforce and Hubspot.
- Experienced with marketing program execution.
- Project management experience.
- Comfortable with numbers and analysis of campaign metrics (KPI’s).
- Strong ability to work independently and cooperatively in a cross functional team environment to achieve goals.
- Excellent creative, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
- Superb time management and appreciation for deadlines.
- Experience managing vendors and agencies on creative and technology.
