Director of Strategic Partnerships

 

PayJunction is seeking a talented Director of Strategic Partnerships to scale our relationships  with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and other referral channels. This is a player / coach role that will be tasked with building a new team from the ground up. Initially, this role will start as an individual contributor so our current processes and relationships can be assessed. After, the role will be responsible for recruiting and managing the team performing hunting, onboarding, and relationship management efforts. Duties will include scaling and motivating the team, developing successful strategic partnerships, and implementing plans with an eye on cost control and competitive trends.

This person should also be a self-motivated business development professional with proven leadership and managerial experience who can demonstrate sustained success in a previous role.

Responsibilities

  • Discover and onboard new strategic partnerships.
  • Cultivate long lasting relationships with partners.
  • Work with HR to design talent acquisition and onboarding plans.
  • Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly objectives.
  • Participate in compensation planning. 
  • Work with legal on contract negotiations. 
  • Work with product management on the feature roadmap.  
  • Work with marketing on partner initiatives. 
  • Assess competition, including pricing.
  • Be a trusted advisor to executives & directors. 
  • Create a culture of data driven decision making. 

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a business development position.
  • Technical competency with REST APIs, SDKs, and the integration process.
  • Experience successfully scaling an integrated payments effort. 
  • In-depth knowledge of business development  techniques and best practices.
  • Capacity to manage various projects and work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
